My current headache and latest bit of writing is Beast Within. My kids give me headaches on occasion too but this book seems to like giving me migraines.
I have been whittling away at it every spare moment I get. It is slowly coming together. I am actually quite proud of it. Like my children when they succeed as human beings, it is nice when a novel succeeds as a story.
It will be the second full length novel I have completed. My goal is 50k words. I want to keep it to a short novel size until I improve my writing. I read somewhere that your first book with always be bad. I still put the beta version of the story out for people to enjoy but yeah, it is kinda terrible.
Like children, books become easier as you have more. I know this because I have given birth to seven children and am currently writing my third book. Each one is it's own unique creation. I have a hand in making it grow and develop into something worth sending out into the world.
Parents get help from teachers and other family members giving children the information and experience they need. Authors get editors and beta readers who help give feedback and constructive criticism to make a book worth sending out to the public.
At the moment I feel like a single parent trying to raise and home school a wayward child! It makes me all the more grateful for my husband who helps me with the six children we have running around.
Howl at the moon and make some magic!
